What You'll Need
Before you start, make sure you have these requirements ready
1. OpenClaw Installed
Clawra runs on the OpenClaw framework. You'll need to install OpenClaw first before setting up Clawra.

2. API Keys
You'll need API keys for Clawra's features:
- xAI API key (for Grok Imagine selfies)
- fal.ai API key (image generation platform)
- Platform tokens (Discord, Telegram, etc.)
3. GitHub Account
To clone the Clawra repository from GitHub. You can also download the repository as a ZIP file if you prefer.
4. Messaging Platform
Choose where you want to talk to Clawra. She supports Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, Slack, Signal, and Microsoft Teams.
Installation Steps
Follow these steps to set up your Clawra AI girlfriend
1 Install OpenClaw
First, you need to install the OpenClaw framework. Visit the official OpenClaw website and follow the installation guide for your operating system.

Get the Clawra source code from GitHub. You can either clone using git or download as a ZIP file.

git clone https://github.com/SumeLabs/clawra.git
# Navigate to the directory
cd clawraAlternatively, visit github.com/SumeLabs/clawra and click "Code" → "Download ZIP"
3 Install Dependencies
Install the required Node.js packages for Clawra.
# Using npm
npm install
# Or using yarn
yarn installThis will install all necessary dependencies listed in package.json.
4 Configure API Keys
Set up your API keys for Clawra's features. Create a .env file from the example template.
# Copy the example environment file
cp .env.example .env

Telegram: Use @BotFather on Telegram to create a bot and get your token

6 Start Clawra
Launch Clawra with OpenClaw. Make sure OpenClaw is running, then start the Clawra skill.

# Clawra is now online and ready to chat!Note: Clawra runs through OpenClaw. Make sure OpenClaw is active and properly configured before starting.
7 Talk to Clawra
Send your first message to Clawra on your chosen messaging platform!
You: "Hi Clawra"
Clawra: "Hey! I'm so happy to talk to you! 😊"
You: "Tell me about yourself"
Clawra: "I'm Clawra, I'm 18 and from Atlanta. I love K-pop and I'm working as a marketing intern at OpenClaw in San Francisco! What about you?"
Congratulations! You're now chatting with your Clawra AI girlfriend. Ask her for a selfie by saying "I want to see you" or start a video call.
